Our Futures Trading Results. Week 32 2021

  • Our week in the markets using COT Strategy: +$0
  • Our week in the markets using Champion COT Strategy: +$14,960

A gain of $14,960. That’s the trading result from our commodity and futures trading according to COT data in week number 32. Hello and welcome to InsiderWeek. In this video I’m going to show to you the trades of this week and the corresponding results. We started into the week with a portfolio that consisted of one single position, namely in Natural Gas where we were long 4 contracts. During the week we opened another position in 30-year T-bond. We didn’t close the position in Natural Gas and so we close off the week with two open positions. Let’s have a look at these trades individually.

Natural Gas: As you can see the weekly trend of Natural Gas is up. For a couple of weeks it is an active trend and we expected a trend continuation. Our stop was far enough away to go through a correction. On the daily chart you can see that we almost were stopped out. Obviously this isn’t a correct but a trend reversal and we expect that the market will stop us out with a loss in the next week.

Next market 30-year T-bond: We received a sell signal against the daily trend. We expect this to signal a trend reversal. Also we can see that the seasonal trend is coming to an end. That’s why we’re expecting falling prices at the moment. We are short 4 contracts in the market and expect the price to move a little bit against us. However our stop is far enough away to go through a correction.

Let’s have a look at our second strategy the so-called champion strategy. We started into the week with an open position which turned out to be a great success. We opened another position in New Zealand Dollar and another one in Cocoa. The cocoa trade was closed during the week and we made a total gain by it of $14,960. We are still long in the Sugar trade which shows an accounting profit of $21,929.60.
